The best part of this marvelous deconstructed music video is at the bridge, when Nataly Dawn sings, "Don't make me sing this part of the song—the lyrics are so bad, we're going to skip ahead." There's a lot to admire in this sly and super-catchy arrangement, but it does make me wonder why so much popular music by and for hip white people is so flat in affect. C'mon Nataly, don't you believe in something enough to belt your heart out?
